Is there such a thing as healthy chocolate?

Chocolate can have health benefits when consumed in moderation. And scientists have proved that eating chocolate between 9-11AM is actually good for you! It may help your body burn fat, decrease glucose levels, and improved microbiome health.

The health benefits are mostly attributed to the high content of cocoa solids, which are rich in antioxidants called flavanols.

Some potential health benefits of consuming chocolate include:

  1. Improved heart health: Research suggests that consuming dark chocolate with a high cocoa content may help lower blood pressure, reduce inflammation, and improve blood flow to the heart.

  2. Several studies have found that consuming chocolate may be associated with a lower risk of stroke.

  3. Improved brain function: Some research has found that consuming cocoa flavanols may improve cognitive function, including memory and attention.

  4. Reduced risk of diabetes: Studies have suggested that consuming chocolate may help improve insulin sensitivity and reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes.

That said, like all good things in life... consume responsibly!
